Q: What happens if I wait for the switchover before I decide to upgrade my analogue system?

A: All TVs sold now have Digital Decoders built into them so they are already Digital TVs. These will not work where the analogue signal is weak e.g.; snowy pictures on analogue TV. Digital pictures will just break up into small squares (pixellation) and the picture will freeze. That is why if you buy a new TV now you will have to make sure your aerial signals are good enough for digital transmissions.

Q:
I've been told I can't get digital television where I live so what is the point of upgrading?

A: Digital Television is broadcast to everyone in this area, but the signal in some parts of our area is poor so Digital reception is patchy with a standard Aerial. By upgrading your Aerial system to a good Digital one this problem will be cured.
